All objects in nature, as long as its temperature is higher than the absolute temperature (-273 ℃) there is a random movement of molecules and atoms, the surface of the continuous infrared radiation. Infrared is an electromagnetic wave, its wavelength range of 760nm ~ 1mm, not seen by the human eye.
Infrared imaging equipment is to detect the infrared ray of radiation from the surface of such objects not seen by the human eye. It reflects the surface of the infrared radiation field, that is the temperature field. For power equipment, the basic principle of infrared detection and fault diagnosis is to detect the thermal state characteristics of the equipment by detecting the infrared radiation signals of the surface of the equipment to be diagnosed. Based on this thermal state and appropriate criteria, it could make diagnostic judgment of location, severity and whether the equipment is faulty including fault attributes,
